At 12:00 of August 17, 2022, after more than 140 hours of transporting Sinotrans CYANTRON logistics fleet drove more than 4000 kilometers across eight provinces and autonomous regions, and finally arrived at Sangzhuzi District, Shigatse of Tibet Autonomous Region. The fleet delivered the epidemic prevention goods with total value of 2.6 million yuan donated by Qingdao Municipal Government to the people of sangzhuzi District efficiently and safely.
Departure: To the snowy plateau
At 23:00 of August 10, Sinotrans received an urgent notice from Qingdao Municipal Transport Bureau, requesting to carry out the task of assisting Shigatse by transportating epidemic prevention support goods. Sinotrans attached great importance and promptly launched emergency transportation plan. It immediately started shipping preparations, and deployed four experienced CYANTRON employees with good physical fitness to work as the emergency transportation pioneer, and prepare for departure.

3:00 a.m.: The transportation pioneer group gathering at the company to conduct comprehensive vehicle inspection, technical preparation and plateau transportation safety training.
5:00 a.m.: Loading epidemic prevention materials at Shangyao Logistics Center in Chengyang District, Qingdao.
10:00 a.m.: 80000 sets of nucleic acid sampling tubes, 50000 disposable isolation clothes, 30000 N95 masks, 10000 medical protective clothing and 10000 pairs of medical examination gloves were loaded before departure.
Endeavor: 4 people, 4000km, 4000m altitude
Although four "pioneers" have rich highway experience, they have never been to a destination with high altitude and great challenges like Tibet before.
"There is no fear and worry, but more excitement." Jiang Liangqiang said, head of transportation dispatching of Sinotrans CYANTRON logistics. Before leaving, in order not to worry his family, he did not explain the difficulties of this trip. At the beginning, they passed through Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu and other places smoothly, but they did not expect a greater challenge was waiting for them in the second half of the journey at higher altitude.
August 15, Golmud, Qinghai
Arrived in Golmud, Qinghai, the Pioneers bought oxygen and drugs for altitude sickness. Driving along the G109 Highway, the road began to become very muddy and bumpy. There were traffic jams in two lanes, and the rest areas were few. The total driving distance of that day was about 400 kilometers, and the altitude was about 4500 meters. Although everyone had altitude sickness, they all worked hard to overcome it and continued to prepare for the next journey.
August 16, Tanggula Mountain Pass at the junction of Qinghai and Tibet
The fleet have traveled more than 3000 kilometers since the departure, and there were no Expressways any longer. In addition, the altitude was high and the driving was difficult and slow. The fleet left Ulan Moron River at 7 a.m. and drove along G109 Highway, climbed to the altitude of 5321 meters of Tanggula Mountain. And there ushered the most difficult part of the journey.
To ensure the transportation progress, the fleet took advantage of long daytime and insisted on driving late before rest. Sometimes the fleet were still on the way in no man's land at 20-21 p.m., and had to drive farther for lower altitude to rest.
At 23:00 on August 16, Yangbajing, Tibet
On the way, all the dining and accommodation places in the rest area were closed due to the epidemic. The fleet finally arrived at Yangbajing rest area in Tibet before the 17th. They worked hard to overcome altitude sickness and planned to arrive at Shigatseat noon the next day.

Driving through Lhasa, the four Pioneers were happier and more relaxed, and the dawn was ahead. When the trucks of Sinotrans drove into Sangzhuzi District of Shigatse, local staffs came to meet them for in distance. At that moment, they were excited and gratified.
This emergency assist from Qingdao to Shigatse finally reached Sangzhuzi District after a long journey of more than 6 days and more than 4000 kilometers. The goods delivered by Sinotrans CYANTRON logistics fleet would be distributed to help epidemic prevention and control work in Sangzhuzi district at the first time.
