On January 22, 2010, the Sinotrans Special Session on Safe Production of Ships in Low-Water Season for Inland Rivers was convened in Wuhan. Sinotrans Vice President Zhu Ning attended the session and delivered an important speech. Moderated by Gong Daoping, vice general manager of the Safety Supervision Department of Sinotrans, the session saw an attendance of 26 representatives from the Safety Supervision Department of Sinotrans, the Safety Production Department of CSC Group, the Operation Department of Sinotrans Limited, and 13 relevant companies.

Vice President Zhu Ning put forward specific requirements for the safety management of ships in the low-water season for inland rivers. Representatives to the session exchanged experience with respect to the safety of ship navigation during the low-water season. Furthermore, during the session, outstanding papers on safety management of ships in the low-water season were singled out.

Finally, Vice General Manager Gong Daoping gave a summary of the session, deployed the tasks for safety management of ships in the low-water season, and put forward requirements for safe production of inland-river ships during the Spring-Festival transport peak and the “NPC&CPPCC” period. The session achieved a complete success.
