On Feb. 9, “2009 Global Top 500 Brands”, jointly appraised by World Brand Organization (WBO), US-China Economic Trade & Investment General Chamber of Commerce (USCGC) and World Union of VIP Enterprises (WUVE) were announced in Tokyo, Japan. The 88 Chinese brands appearing in the list included SINOTRANS, Sinopec, PetroChina, etc. with each of these brands’ annual revenue exceeding $10 billion.
The list of “2009 Global Top 500 Brands” was based on these businesses’ global reputation, news influence, corporate brand value, response to the global financial crisis, international communications, etc. during the past 15 consecutive years. Businesses listed not only boast rich experience in brand image improvement, maintenance and management, but also are leading brands in their industries as well. Those listed will receive 3 annual brand awards, namely “2009 Global Top 500 Brands”, “Most Globally Competitive Chinese Leading Brands with World Influence” and the annual award of “Excellent Public Livelihood Caring and Harmony Promoting Brand Builder”.
It is learnt that those listed will also be invited to attend the monthly meeting of the World Famous Brands Assembly, Global Top 500 Brands strategic cooperation meeting, Global Top 500 Brand owners summit, Global Top 500 Brands achievement exhibition and plate issuance/award ceremony.
